Both a strategic business thinker, and a creative spirit. Finding balance in the dynamic tension of these opposing forces has been a constant and rewarding theme in my life. And what I’ve learned is that magic happens at the intersection of these…art & commerce, tradition and progress, passion and logic. This creative dynamism has lead me to launch Threads.

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work with artisans around the world while developing home textiles and rugs for Crate & Barrel and ABC Carpet & Home. I’ve spent extensive time In India, and learned the arts of weaving, printing and embroidery.  

I’ve also been going to flea markets, bazaars, antique shows, junk shops and thrift stores—first for Hope & Wilder, a beloved retail store in Soho, NY I cofounded in 1992, and, as time went on, purchasing vintage fabrics for my own pleasure.

The Threads pillow collection is my chance to share my passion (and my fabrics!) in a way that combines all the experiences of my past and celebrates it in the present.
